Farmers Trees of Remembrance campaign raises $24,500
We are delighted to announce that Farmers teams in the West raised $24,505 for Hospice West Auckland as part of the Trees of Remembrance campaign.
The campaign allowed donating customers to hang a star with a special note to a loved one on the Trees of Remembrance instore at participating Farmers stores NorthWest, WestCity and New Lynn.
The top three fundraisers in the West were Michelle (top left), Monika (top right) and Jacqui.
"Not only did the team at Farmers embrace raising funds for our hospice, they also worked as ambassadors for our services, helping the community to better understand the work we do. The awareness raising that comes from being involved with Farmers is invaluable. The enthusiasm and commitment from all staff and the people of West Auckland has contributed to this amazing result, thank you so much," said Barbara Williams, CEO of Hospice West Auckland.
Hospice West Auckland is thankful to each and every person who stopped to make a donation. By remembering their loved ones this way, they make sure that HWA can continue to care for people at end of life in our West Auckland community.
Across the country, more than $908,000 was donated from the Farmers Trees of Remembrance campaign. This is the eighth year that Farmers has raised funds for hospices around New Zealand and to date around $6M has been donated to help keep services free of charge.
