As we reluctantly say sayonara to an extended summer, the prospect of donning an extra layer is well and truly imminent. Tackle your work day dressing with new seasonal items that promise to deliver some sartorial flair.

Our New Lynn and Henderson Hospice Shops will be running a suit apparel sale from Monday 9 - Saturday 21 May, which includes: tailcoats, waistcoats, jackets, shirts, pants, cummerbunds and ties.

A new kind of men’s style has emerged that seamlessly blurs the line between work and play. No longer does one need to wear a suit and pants in tandem, instead there’s an inclination towards sporting the items separately. Here are three ways to repurpose formal wear into chic urban gentleman style:

• Do away with the classic shirt and tie combo in favour of a turtleneck for a retro future look.
• A menswear essential, the button-down shirt, exudes a more casual appeal than many of its collared compatriots and is the perfect answer when a collared shirt but no tie is required.
• Look sharp whatever the occasion with a blazer you can wear everywhere - a fail-safe wardrobe item worth investing in.
• The once formal trouser holds its own when paired with a casual round neck tee or cable knit jumper and sneakers. 

Our New Lynn shop is open 7 days: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.30pm and Saturday & Sunday 9.30am - 4.30pm. Henderson shop is closed Sundays.
