Putting on the Ritz
Our Putting on the Ritz Mother's Day High Tea on Sunday was a fabulous success. More than 170 people attended the special fundraising event at Hopetoun Alpha which raised over $30,000 for the two bedroom specialist palliative care unit being built at Hospice House.
Guests enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea and were entertained by John Wilcox on piano and all girl singing group, Diva Magique who brought alive the music and fashion from the 1950's and 60's era.
Carol Hirschfeld as MC led the afternoon's activities which included an auction and a silent auction.
The special shop at the event, crammed with wonderful donated items of china, silver and crystal was a roaring success and most of it was gone by the end of the afternoon.
