Help Keep Our Hospice Op Shops Running Smoothly

We love our volunteers and the incredible contribution they make to Hospice and the West Auckland community!

Volunteering your time is a wonderful, rewarding way to support Hospice West Auckland. Our Op Shops generate essential revenue that enable us to provide specialist palliative care to West Aucklanders at no cost.

Our team of more than 150 retail volunteers help to keep our network of Hospice Op Shops across West Auckland running smoothly. From sorting pre-loved donated goods, stock management and display through to cashier and customer service, these are important and busy roles that help us turn donated items into funds. By volunteering at an Op Shop you will be part of a wonderful, supportive team and contribute to a great cause while having fun. Volunteering is also an excellent way to gain valuable retail experience and grow your skillset.

No previous volunteering or retail experience is necessary. All of our volunteers attend Hospice West Auckland orientation programmes as well as receiving job-specific training as required.
