Framed by Homestead Framers and printed on archival paper by ROE print, this cartoon was donated to Hospice West Auckland by Schwartz.
It ran in The New Yorker on 11 January 2016 following David Bowie's death, commemorating the massive impact he had on so many lives.
Bowie's death was a shock to many as he'd kept news of his illness very private. It also provided a reality check for his many fans, to see a hero made mortal.
